kyoshi island - 1 Viewing Kyoshi Island is famous for being the birthplace of not only Avatar Kyoshi, but Kyoshi Warriors as well (an elite, all-female fighting group). After the death of Avatar Roa, it was assumed that the Kyoshi Warriors would dismantle, as they no longer had contact with Avatar Kyoshi and it was presumed they would lose their fighting spirit. However, against popular belief, the battle ways of Kyoshi Warriors still remains and many still live on the island and practice the art. In modern day, Kyoshi Island is mostly cut-off from the remainder of the world, after laws restricting access to the island were established decades ago in order to stop any wars from reaching the island. |

earth kingdom harbor Located on the shoreline of the South Sea, the Earth Kingdom Harbor is the only remaining intact harbor in all of the Earth Kingdom. During one of the Earth Kingdom's civil wars, most of the Harbors were torn up and destroyed by earthbenders in order to stop any Fire Nation reinforcements from coming. However, this one was defended long enough to stop the rebels, and as such still stands today. Many of the boats are still located at the dock, and are often used as transportation to Kyoshi Island (however, the Unagi is notorious for attacking and destroying any small boats that attempt to pass). |

nan shan river - 1 Viewing The Nan Shan River is a relatively large river that drains out in to the South Sea. This river is most often very strong, and the current has been known to was people and animals out to sea. However, there are small patches in which the river is calm and forms small pools. This makes the Nan Shan River a popular place for people to set-up camp for a night or two. |
