The Nan Shan River is a relatively large river that drains out in to the South Sea. This river is most often very strong, and the current has been known to was people and animals out to sea. However, there are small patches in which the river is calm and forms small pools. This makes the Nan Shan River a popular place for people to set-up camp for a night or two.
